Action: Triumphant. James 2:12-13. Big Concept: Live by a new way which leads to freedom. Where mercy is placed over judgement. We live in a world where religion can be accused of being hard, rigid, judgemental, disconnected, and old. Even Jesus makes similar accusations like in Matthew 23:13. Here we hear of a different set of rules which is seen as freeing and merciful. Leading Questions: How does a “law” bring freedom? Do we need to change our understanding of the word “law” Does “mercy triumphs over judgement” mean there is no judgement? How could we be more merciful today? Who can you ask for honest feedback in your own life in regards to how merciful you are? Prayer of the week: Father God, Would Your word encourage us. Would Your voice give us courage, strength, and call us into a closer walk with You. Thank You for your grace and love. ![]()
