YEAH! Church - Sunday, June 27, 2021"Stories of Jesus” – Imagine finding a treasure so valuable that you would be willing to give up everything else you have, just to have it. That’s what Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is like. When we discover the truth about Jesus, it is like finding a buried or priceless treasure that we should want to have more than anything else in the world. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. 45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. 46 When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!” Engage: • Jesus is like a priceless treasure for those who find him. How? • In these two parables, the men give up everything just to have the treasure they find. Would you be willing to give up everything for Jesus? • The parables talked about the fact that the treasure was ‘hidden.’ How can Jesus be hidden? • When we find Jesus, what do you think Jesus wants us to do with Him? Theme verses: Philippians 3:8 - “Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.” Prayer - Thank you, God, for sending Jesus.
